DIY Easter Egg Magnets
Happy Easter! If you have some extra time this weekend amongst the holiday festivities here is a DIY that is low-budget and great for families. These DIY egg magnets make colorful fridge accessories and can be a fun spin on the traditional egg dying activity. While hunting eggs, you can collect a few oval-shaped pebbles too, bring them back and get started!
Supplies
Below is the list of what you’ll need and how you can make your very own personalized Easter magnets (and memories).- Round, smooth pebbles
- Craft paint
- Newspaper
- Paintbrushes
- Glue
- 5mm x 2mm neodymium disc magnets
Steps
- Gather round or oval-shaped pebbles and rocks. Wash any excess dirt away from them and let dry.
- Once dry, set the rocks on a flat surface and cover the rocks in paint until they are completely painted. If indoors, lay a newspaper down to avoid painting other items.
- Let the painted rocks dry for about 3 hours or until completely dry.
- Attach a magnet to the flattest side of the rock with hot glue. Press down firmly to attach and let dry for 15-20 minutes.
- You can decorate these magnets even more with markers, paint designs, or tied ribbons.
