Who we are
Apex Magnets operates apexmagnets.com, including our blog. This policy explains how we handle personal information we collect through the site, by phone and email, and when you order from us.
It does not cover other websites we link to. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Our Terms of Use also apply when you use the site.
What we collect
We collect what you give us when you order or contact us, plus basic device and browsing data collected automatically.
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email address and phone number.
- Order details: billing and shipping addresses, items purchased, order history and notes you add.
- Account details: your login email and password, if you create an account. Passwords are stored in a scrambled form we cannot read.
- Requests and messages: what you send through quote requests, custom magnet requests, contact forms, email and phone calls.
- Email preferences: whether you subscribed to marketing email at checkout or elsewhere.
Information collected automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the site that referred you and the date and time of each visit.
- Approximate location: country or region, estimated from your IP address.
- Cookies and similar tools: see Cookies and ads.
- Calls from Google ads: if you reach the site from a Google ad, the phone number shown may be a Google forwarding number. Google then records call details such as the time, length and caller area code so we can measure our ads.
Information from AI shopping agents
If you use an AI assistant or shopping agent to search our catalog or build a cart, we receive the requests it sends, such as searches and cart contents, and basic technical details about the agent. We keep this activity log for 90 days.
Information from other sources
If you pay with PayPal, PayPal sends us your name, email address and shipping address to complete the order.
How we use it
We use personal information to run the store, serve customers and market our products. Specifically, to:
- Process, ship and track orders, send order and shipping updates and handle returns.
- Answer questions and quote requests and provide customer service.
- Prevent fraud and spam and keep the site secure.
- Understand how the site is used and improve our products, pages and search.
- Send marketing email if you subscribe, and a cart-reminder email if you leave items in your cart after entering your email address. You can unsubscribe from either at any time.
- Measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited the site.
- Comply with the law, enforce our terms and protect our rights and customers.
Your choices
You control marketing email and interest-based ads, and you can ask what we hold about you.
Marketing email
Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing or cart-reminder email, or contact us. We will still send messages about your orders.
Interest-based ads

- Many ad companies at once: DAA opt-out and NAI opt-out
- Google Analytics: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
Opting out makes ads less tailored to you. It does not mean fewer ads. Most opt-outs are stored in cookies, so set them in each browser you use.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals from your browser. To limit tracking, use the opt-outs above or block cookies in your browser.
See, correct or delete your information
Anyone can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it.
- Delete it. We may keep records we must hold for tax, accounting or legal reasons.
- Stop using it for marketing.
Email service@apexmagnets.com or call +1 (304) 257-1193. We will confirm your identity using details from your order or account and respond within 45 days. If you have an account, you can also update your details by signing in. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
If a state or national law gives you more privacy rights, contact us and we will respond as that law requires.
Payment security
You enter card details directly into Stripe's or PayPal's secure payment fields. Apex Magnets never sees or stores your full card number.
Every page of the site uses HTTPS encryption. We limit access to customer information to people who need it to do their jobs. No way of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards to protect your information.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy.

Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International customers
Apex Magnets is based in the United States, and we store and process information in the US. If you order from outside the US, your information is transferred to the US and handled under this policy. To use any privacy rights your local law gives you, contact us.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold in a significant way, we will tell customers by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
