DIY Advent Calendar (With Magnets, Of Course!)
Christmas is on the way and if you’re as excited as we are, you’re probably counting down the days until it arrives! If you’re looking for a creative way of keeping track of the passing days, we’ve got the perfect magnetic project for you inspired by Inspiration Made Simple. This DIY advent calendar features a snowman countdown that'll will keep your spirits bright for the next 25 days straight.
Supplies You’ll Need:
- 3 sheets of cardstock (1 black, 1 white, 1 orange)
- Black marker
- Hot glue
- Three 3mm x 1mm Neodymium disc magnets
Assemble your DIY Advent Calendar:
- Cut your white piece of cardstock into a circle that’s roughly 10” across. Then, cut your black piece of cardstock in the shape of a top hat that will fit on your snowman’s head. Finally, using your orange cardstock, cut out a carrot nose for your snowman, making sure that it is long enough to reach near to the edges of the circle from the center.
- Glue the white and black pieces together, allowing ample drying time.
- Glue one of your neodymium magnets to the underside of your carrot nose near the base and another magnet to the back of the circle in the center.
- Using a dark marker, number the 25 days until Christmas around the edge of the circle. Start with the number 25 in the upper left corner, moving counter-clockwise.
- Grab that final neodymium magnet and use it to secure your creation to the fridge!
