Christmas is on the way and if you’re as excited as we are, you’re probably counting down the days until it arrives! If you’re looking for a creative way of keeping track of the passing days, we’ve got the perfect magnetic  project for you inspired by Inspiration Made Simple. This DIY advent calendar features a snowman countdown that'll will keep your spirits bright for the next 25 days straight.

Supplies You’ll Need:

Assemble your DIY Advent Calendar:

  1. Cut your white piece of cardstock into a circle that’s roughly 10” across. Then, cut your black piece of cardstock in the shape of a top hat that will fit on your snowman’s head. Finally, using your orange cardstock, cut out a carrot nose for your snowman, making sure that it is long enough to reach near to the edges of the circle from the center.
  2. Glue the white and black pieces together, allowing ample drying time.
  3. Glue one of your neodymium magnets to the underside of your carrot nose near the base and another magnet to the back of the circle in the center.
  4. Using a dark marker, number the 25 days until Christmas around the edge of the circle. Start with the number 25 in the upper left corner, moving counter-clockwise.
  5. Grab that final neodymium magnet and use it to secure your creation to the fridge!
Secure your magnets together and voila! You have a moveable carrot nose to adjust every morning as you count down to Christmas. Make sure you share photos of your project with us on Twitter and Facebook! For more magnet themed DIY projects and news, be sure to follow along on our blog.
