Halloween is only a week away! As you start decorating for your Halloween party or to impress your neighbors during trick or treating, you can use neodymium magnets for temporary decorating solutions. Magnets can be used to hang streamers and spooky garlands without causing permanent damage to your walls or furniture. If you’re running out of time, here are some easy DIY magnet crafts to try for Halloween:

1. Magnetic Skull Bottle Opener

You can create this magnetic bottle opener using instructions from an earlier blog post with a little Halloween flair. All you need is a Halloween themed stationary bottle opener like these skull-shaped ones. If you already made a magnetic bottle opener, you can paint it orange or add a skull and crossbones design.

2. Magnetic Bugs

You can create creepy magnetic bugs and spiders for your door and lampshades with small neodymium magnets for crafts. You can turn the magnets into spiders by gluing pipe cleaners on as legs and painting them black. Or you can glue disc magnets to the back of inexpensive toy bugs from the store. Then all you have to do is hold one magnet on the back of your door or on the inside of your lampshade and the decorated bug magnet on the other side. Make sure you buy neodymium magnets that are strong enough to attract through your front door so your spiders stay in place.

3. Creepy Eyeball Magnets

You can make creepy eyeball magnets with an old magazine and this tutorial on bubble magnets for Mother’s day. Instead of using cute family photos, cut out pictures of eyes from the old magazine. Make sure the image of the eye is large enough to fill the inside of the transparent stone and use clear glue to secure it to the flat part of the stone. Then, glue a disc magnet to the back of the eye image and you have a creepy eyeball magnet to stare at people from your refrigerator. In addition to these easy magnet crafts you can use this DIY tutorial to turn your home into a haunted house.
