Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. If you’re looking for something special to give your loved ones, consider making them a personalized conversation heart -- not edible, but magnetized! You can go for a more traditional approach with messages like, “Kiss Me,” “Be Mine,” or “Only You,” or try a modern twist like, “Tweet Me!” No matter the message, old or new, it lets them know you care.
Whether you are making this Valentine’s Day craft for the Thelma to your Louise, Mulder to your Scully, Kenan to your Kel, or maybe even the Arya Stark to your Hound, follow the easy steps below to make your festive heart magnets. Enemies and frenemies alike are sure to love them.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Small wooden hearts
- Alphabet letter stamps
- Valentine’s Day stamps (e.g., “Too Cute,” or “Marry Me”)
- Pink and red ink pads
- Hot glue
- 3mm x 1mm disc magnets
Step 1
First, find a flat workspace and lay out the wooden hearts. Think about what you want to say and who you want to say it to. You can use real candy conversation hearts as inspiration, or create your own unique message.
Step 2
Dip your alphabet or Valentine’s Day stamps into the colored ink pads, then firmly press them to the wooden hearts. Mix up individual letters to spell out something new, or use whole Valentine’s phrases. Take your time and write the perfect message.
Step 3
