Magnetic Family Activities for Easter
Easter is right around the corner, providing the perfect opportunity for quality family time. Follow these steps for some quality family time and to display hand-crafted, magnetic, Easter decorations!
Magnetic Easter Bunny Decorations
What You’ll Need:
- Construction Paper. Pink, white, green, and brown are needed, but feel free to add your family’s favorites.
- Watercolor paper
- Liquid watercolors.
- Googly eyes
- Basket, Easter egg, bunny, and grass patch templates. OR draw your own freehand!
- Scissors
- Markers
- Eye droppers
- Adhesive backed magnets
- Begin with creating the watercolor decorated eggs. Start with an entire sheet of watercolor paper. Fill eye droppers with watercolors and drop on watercolor paper creatively. Set aside to dry.
- While the watercolor dries, trace the basket, bunny, grass patches on desired colored construction paper. Cut out.
- Assemble bunny. Give him ears, whiskers, nose, mouth and googly eyes!
- Apply adhesive magnets to backs of cutouts and assembled bunny. Leave gaps on the tops of the baskets and grass patches so they can be stuffed with eggs and bunnies.
- Once watercolor paper has dried completely, flip over, trace egg templates, cut out.
- Apply adhesive magnets to backs of egg cutouts.
- Creatively place on fridge or other display area to decorate!
- Plastic Easter eggs
- Modeling Clay
- Small disc magnets
- Open plastic eggs
- Fill the concave areas of the inside of the eggs with magnets and then modeling clay
- Close eggs and play!
