There may be nothing better than kicking back after a long week at work and enjoying a movie or sporting event with your favorite drink in hand. Today, we are taking a look at a fun and useful way to store the bottles in your fridge by creating a magnetic bottle loft. The floating bottles also create more space for other items, meaning that overcrowding in your fridge is a thing of the past! Let’s take a look at how you make better fridge storage a reality!

Supplies

You only need a few items to complete this project. One of our favorite parts is that you can run to the store and buy some drinks just so you can try out your finished product. Be sure to pick up the magnets you need from our friendly team at Apex Here is the full supply list:
  • Full-size or mini refrigerator
  • Drinks with bottle caps (Iced coffee, beer, soda)
  • Double stick tape
  • 1” x ⅛” disc magnets
  • Ruler/measuring tape
  • Rag
  • Marker

Steps

The steps for this project are simple! You also have some freedom as to what you want to place on the magnets; it does not have to be drink bottles. Try hanging some jars or other containers to see how much space you can free up in your fridge.  Follow these steps:
  • Clear out the top shelf of your fridge or move everything to one side.
  • Wipe down the fridge ceiling to make sure it is as clean as possible.
  • Measure your available space and place two equally long strips of double-sided tape on the ceiling of the fridge with a gap in between. The size of the gap should be a couple of inches.
  • To make sure everything is evenly spaced, make small marks on the tape so you know where each magnet should go.
  • Place your magnets in the appropriate spots on the tape. Be sure to hold them in place until secure.
  • Let your magnets dry overnight and then use them to hang up your bottles.
  • Enjoy more space in your fridge!
