DIY: Hidden Planter Storage
Spring is officially here, which means it is time to dust off the gardening tools! Earlier this year, we looked at how magnets might be linked to faster plant growth. Today, we are going to use magnets to create some convenient storage space for your gardening supplies. This fun project will allow you to keep your tools and the garden itself in one location. Let’s look at what you need to get started.
Supplies
This project will require a significant amount of wood. If you want to make this planter on a budget, use some old wooden pallets. If you are looking for a nicer finished product, head to your local hardware store and pick up some wooden boards.- Wood from the store or old pallets

- Drill
- Gardening supplies (hose, seeds, shovels, gloves, etc.)

Steps
Creating your planter is simple! Just determine how large you would like the space to be and then follow these instructions:- Cut wood to the desired length.
- Assemble your planter in a rectangular or square shape.
- In the lower half of one side, create a panel that can be removed.
- Paint the exterior pieces of wood (optional).
- Attach the panel back to the frame using magnets.
- Place plant seeds and soil in the top portion of the planter.
- Insert your gardening supplies in the lower panel.
- Your plants will grow at the top and you can enjoy storage at the bottom!
