Supplies

Gather the following items:

 

  • Cookie sheet or a similar magnetic sheet that fits in your desired location
  • Spice jars
  • Disc magnets (1”x 1/16”) 
  • Screws (Ensure they are not too long, so they don’t go entirely through any shelves)
  • Drill with a drill bit
  • Superglue

Steps

This version of the project will go over how you can hang your rack underneath a shelf or cabinet, as opposed to upright in our first adaptation. This new method allows you to hang your jars upside down and create a more eye-catching and useful end result. 

 

Follow these steps to create your storage rack:

 

  • Determine where you would like to place your sheet and make sure it fits. 
  • Drill a hole in all four corners of your sheet so you can hang it up later.
  • Apply some glue to your disc magnets and place them on the bottom of your spice jars instead of the lids. Wait for them to dry.
  • Using the holes you created, drill the cookie sheet into your shelf or cabinet. 
  • Unscrew the lids to your jars and fill them up with whatever materials you would like.
  • Attach your jars to the sheet and enjoy!
