DIY Spring Flower Magnets in 4 Easy Steps
Supplies
- Artificial Flowers
- Glue
- 1/2" x 1/16" adhesive-backed disc magnets
Steps
-
Take the artificial flowers and pull them apart to separate the petals from the stems. You can purchase these inexpensively at many craft stores.
-
Place the flower petals on a flat surface with the bloom facing down.
-
Stick the sticky side of the disc magnet on top of the flower bottom and press firmly. You can either use adhesive backed magnets or regular magnets and apply hot glue to the back of the magnet. If using hot glue, always have an adult apply to avoid burn or injury.
-
Sometimes, the artificial flowers may have a hole in the middle after separating them from the stem. A tip to hide the hole and add some sparkle to your flower is to glue in a small bead or rhinestone in the center.
These make for a fun project that you can do with kids, but always remember that adult supervision is always required when handling magnets. If you need help picking types of magnets feel free to visit our website or contact us!
