With Labor Day weekend underway, fall is right around the corner. For some, this may mean filling your home with autumn smells, like apple pie and cinnamon and/or the bright leaf-like colors of red, orange, and yellow. If you like to give your home a seasonal touch by decorated it with festive decor, there are a few things that you can do to make decorating more fun and little to no work. Here are a few DIYs and tricks for using magnets to hang up your fall decor:

Use Hook Magnets to Hang Up Curtains

Lighting can really set the mood in a room. If you are switching out your curtains to some bright fall colors, try using some hook magnets to hang them up. Remember to consider the weight of the curtains when selecting what magnet strength to use. Hook magnets are at ⅔ of their optimal strength when hung on a vertical axis like a wall.

String Fall Garland with Magnets

If you have a garland a fall leaves or pine cones, you can string them up on a mantel or to your ceiling with some magnets. Better yet, if you have a string of autumn-themed lights you can add those for some extra ambience. Alternatively, you can also make a DIY magnetic banner that sticks to your fridge or a magnetic wall.

Use a Strong Magnet for Door Hangings

Outside doors and the decor on them are often exposed to strong winds and other environmental conditions, so it is important to hang up your decor with a strong tool, like high powered magnets. Plus, it could prevent you from damaging your door and other fixtures from nails and other markings.

Make Bug Magnets for Halloween

If you love Halloween and want to start decorating for it early, you can easily create some spider or bug magnets. All you need is a bag of toy bugs and spiders, hot glue and disc neodymium magnets. Glue the magnets to the backs of the bugs, wait for the glue to dry and hang them up! Magnets can make for great home decorating tools.
