The sun is shining, there's a nice breeze and you don't have anywhere to be for a few hours. Sounds like the perfect conditions for a ride on your bicycle. You grab your mobile phone and water bottle, but stop yourself before you pick anything else up. You've got so much to bring along on your ride, but only so many pockets on your clothes. Unless you can steer your bike without using your hands, you may want to turn to strong magnets for assistance. With a few neodymium magnets, you can magnetize some of your belongings, attach them to the bicycle's metal body and enjoy a ride without packed pockets. Here are a few items you may want to take with you when biking and how you can attach them! Clock If you'd rather not take both hands off your bicycle's handlebars, checking the time on your watch or phone could get tricky. Avoid this problem altogether by purchasing a small battery- or solar-powered clock. It's probably best to get a digital one with relatively large numbers, so you don't spend too long trying to figure out the time while your bike's wheels are in motion. Take a small disc magnet and glue it to the back of your clock. Then, simply attach it to your bike's stem where you can check it whenever you'd like. Light Every bicycle needs a light and reflector so people can see riders coming and going. If you'd feel safer with a few extra lights, all you need to do is glue disc magnets to them and stick them wherever you'd like. A bike's top tube, seat tube, down tube and stem are all places you can attach magnetic lights. Check out this tutorial for a guide to making your own removable bike lights!  At the same time, consider gluing a small magnet to a flashlight and attaching it to your bicycle. You never know when a tire could pop or a part of your bike could break. If the sun's going down, you'll be happy you magnetized a flashlight. Water bottle If you're biking on a hot day, you're likely to crave a cool beverage. If you glue a tiny magnet to the side of a water bottle, you can attach it wherever is most convenient on your bicycle. When you start to break a sweat, just grab it, quench your thirst and return it to where you pulled it from. Pouch What else do you need to bring along on your bike ride? Money? Keys? Maybe a map? Whatever you've got to bring along, consider placing it all in a pouch with a strong magnet glued to it. Then, you can attach it to your bike's top tube, stem or any other part where you can keep an eye on it. Don't forget hook magnets If you'd prefer not to glue magnets to your belongings, consider tying some string around them that can be removed after your bike ride. Then, invest in a few hook magnets. Whether you have a water bottle wrapped in string or a pouch with a loop attached, just hang them from your hook magnets. Just make sure they're in a spot where they won't bump into your leg or get caught in your bike's spokes. So there you have it. With a few neodymium magnets, you can minimize the number of items you have to cram into your pockets and enjoy a relaxing - and very magnetic - bicycle ride. Just be sure to wear a helmet and be safe. Find More DIYs and Magnet Hacks With Apex Magnets  If you like magnetic DIYs, then you’re in the right place!
