Here at Apex, we love finding ways to use all of our different shaped products. When we need things hung, our first instinct is to look at shelving and grab our hammers and nails. The truth is, you don’t need an elaborate piece to hold things up! Our hook magnets have a variety of uses because of their tremendous holding power, with a range of sizes capable of holding 12 lbs up to 200 lbs. Here are three of our favorite ways to use them, with little drilling required. Hang Your Pots and Pans An easy way to add some space in your kitchen is to organize your pots and pans with some hook magnets. We suggest laying a small sheet of metal flat inside one or more of your cabinets. Then, place a few hook magnets on the bottom of the cabinet on the outside, facing downwards. Before hanging anything, we suggest testing the strength of the magnet. If you have thicker cabinets and you find that the magnets aren’t attaching to the metal frame inside, you can get some contact adhesive to attach the sheet to the bottom of the cabinet. Your pots and pans will now be easily reachable and you might have even more space in your cabinets and on your shelves for plates or other flat items to lay on top of the metal sheet! Simply place the desired amount of our hook magnets onto a piece of sheet metal that’s attached to a flat surface or a metal object. Once you mount the custom fixture, conveniently hang keys, coats, cords, and more. The best part? You can always add or remove hooks based on the number of items you need hung. One of the biggest culprits of workplace accidents are loose cords. To combat this, we suggest using hook magnets to easily get them out of the way! The problem with most light hooks is that once you place and hang your lights, that spot becomes their permanent home. However, if you opt for hook magnets, such as our neodymium 80 pound hooks, you can hang movable industrial lighting from steel ceilings and beams, with the option of moving them if need be. Just place the hook magnets on steel shelving to hang aisle chains or wayfinding and safety signs. You can also store wires, cable, tools, and even plants as a means to standardize storage and boost productivity. For more ways to use magnets in industrial warehouses, check out this blog post.
